How it works

From your first details to a finished CV or cover letter. Choose a template, use what you already have and make the document your own.

Get started

Four steps to your finished document.

  1. Choose how to begin

Choose a template and start from scratch, use saved text or upload an existing CV.

  2. Enter and review your details

Add your information and choose the sections to include. See the result in the preview.

  3. Make the design your own

Adjust the template, colours and fonts. Your completed details are kept when you switch templates.

  4. Download your PDF

Check every page and choose Download PDF. You can keep editing and create another PDF later.

Import an existing CV

Let AI sort your information into the right fields. Review the result before a new CV is created.

Import requires an account and a verified email address.

Choose your document

Choose Upload my CV when creating a CV. You can also choose Import CV in the builder's document menu. Drag in the file or select it from your device.

Read and review

Choose Read my CV. You can close the import dialog while it works; select the ready notification to open the result. Keep the browser tab open until you have reviewed the result.

Open in the builder

Check your details and any items flagged for review. Correct them if needed and choose Open in builder. Your other documents are kept.

Save and continue on another device

Changes save automatically. Where they are saved depends on whether you use an account.

Without an account

Documents are saved in this browser profile. Continue in the same profile on the same device. Clearing site data can remove your documents.

Documents are saved online in your account. Sign in with the same account on another device to continue working.

Already started as a guest?

Guest documents in this browser profile transfer automatically when you sign in or create an account.

Wait for Saved in the cloud before switching devices or closing after an edit.

Sharing a computer? Use separate browser profiles for guest documents and sign out of your account when you finish.

Customise templates, sections and your photo

Adjust the content and appearance independently.

Template and design

Change templates and adjust colours and fonts in Design. Check the preview after switching.

Sections and pages

Add, move and hide sections. A page break lets the next section start on a new page.

Profile photo

Choose a photo template and upload from your library or camera. The image is adjusted automatically and you can crop it. Templates without photo support do not show a profile photo.

Documents, saved text and application packages

Create versions for different applications without starting over.

My documents

Find your CVs and cover letters here. Each document has its own template and design.

My texts

Saved content can be used in several documents. When you start editing shared text, choose to update all affected documents or create your own copy.

Create a copy

Choose the same saved text to share content, or your own content copy to edit independently. The design is separate in both cases.

Application packages

Group a CV and cover letter for an application. The documents remain even if you delete the package.

Preview and download your PDF

The PDF is the document you send with your application.

Check every page

Review the text, photo and page breaks in the preview. Example previews are not saved or included in your PDF.

Choose Download PDF

The file is created and the download starts automatically. Guests see an information window while the file is being created.

Find your file

Open your browser's downloads. On a phone, the file may be in Files or open in a PDF viewer, depending on your settings.

If a limit is reached or something goes wrong, a message explains what happened. Your saved details are kept.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

You can create documents and download PDFs as a guest. A free account is needed for AI import and for saving online and continuing on other devices.

Does Continue with Google create an account?

Yes. The first time, an account is created for your Google identity. Next time, the same button signs you into that account.

How do I verify my email address?

Open the verification email and follow the link. If it is missing, check spam and choose Send verification email again under Account and sync.

Can I import a cover letter?

Import supports CVs. Create cover letters in My documents, where you can also use details from a saved CV.

What does the CV score mean?

The score shows how many of the builder's content panels you have completed. Use it as a simple checklist and choose the sections that are relevant to your CV.

Can I change the language?

Choose the service language from the menu. Choose the document language separately under Design. CV import preserves the wording and language of your original document.

Why are there import and PDF limits?

Limits help keep the service available and control costs. Import and PDF have separate limits. A message explains when to try again if you reach a limit.

What if cloud saving does not finish?

Check your internet connection and read the save status. If there is a sync conflict, review the options before choosing which version to use. Do not clear browser data to try to fix it.

How is the PDF created?

When you export a PDF, the document's content is sent to the server to create the PDF file. You do not need to install anything to export.

Where are account settings and sign out?

Open the account menu to sign out or open Account settings, where you can also find Delete account.

Need a hand?

Open the account menu in the service and choose Contact us. Enter your email address, a subject and your message. We reply by email.
